GECCO Secure High House Farm Contract
Further to the successful completion of a Thermal Response Test (TRT) at High House Farm, Purfleet, GECCO have secured the contract to design and install a 100kW closed loop heating and cooling GSHP system, from Hiltons Building Services.
High House Farm is a Heritage Lottery funded community project to turn an important historic listed farm complex into a community farm and wildlife area via sensitive renovation, driven by the wishes of local groups.
The system GECCO devised for this project consists of 9No. boreholes to 130m, in addition to the 100m borehole drilled in order to conduct the original TRT. To maximise the energy yield whilst minimising expense, the design also includes 6No. 45m horizontal slinkies. The scheme offers peak loads of 100kW heating and 100kW cooling, with options for direct cooling and energy recovery.
